Is nothing sacred anymore? Apparently not. I've decided to use my blog (partially, not completely) for a purpose I never intended: cataloging my pregnancy. Why didn't I intend to use my blog for this purpose? Well, first of all, I didn't intend to get pregnant! But also, I think pregnancy is a highly personal and private process; I wasn't sure I wanted to share the intimate details with all of you. Then again, so many of you have become friends to me, that I don't want to hold back... so I won't.
Due Date: May 4, 2011
Gestation: 9 weeks
Weight: 147 lbs (+7 from conception)
Fetal Heartbeat: 172 bpm (has me thinking girl again...)
Health Concerns: Severe morning sickness (prescribed Zofran and Promethazine), headaches (could be dehydration), and future worries about post-partum depression (will consult with doctor)
Other Concerns: Finding enough storage for all the toys we *already* have in our house, not to mention all the baby stuff-- swings, pack-n-play, exersaucer-- that's packed up in our attic
Next Appointment: October 25th

Oh girl...I hope the morning sickness goes away and FAST!!!
Great news, your baby is due on my birthday! :) Hope the morning sickness subsides soon :(
I'm so behind on all of my blogs so I apologize for my lack of comments in recent months...congrats on the new addition coming to your family and your decision to stay at home. It's all about what is best for you and best for your family.
Wishing you the best of luck! Hope the morning sickies go away soon.
Ohhh, I think the baby needs to hold out one more day... May 5th is my bday and I'd love to share the Cinco de Mayo parties with her/him! Hehe! Looks like you're going to have a Taurus on your hands... Hopefully their stubbornness doesn't start in the womb and already give you trouble from there. lol ;)
PPD is a horrible thing to worry about. I had it with my third son, I think traces of it still linger with me. I was able to take Zoloft and nurse him for a year in order to feel better. I'm so happy for you!
So sorry you are feeling ill! Zofran truly was a wonder drug for me. I hope you feel better soon!!
yay!! That is awesome!!!
Looking forward to reading all about it !!! I stopped posting my weight once I became 180 pounds!! yikes!!
Thanks for sharing the update! I hope your morning sickness subsides soon!
Yay! I'm so excited for you! Nevermind I don't know you from a hole in the wall but I really enjoyed my pregnancy (after the 9 week mark when the morning sickness went away) so I plan on living vicariously through you for the next 31 weeks! I repeat, Yay! hehehe!
I love this post. It would be fascinating on it's own, but going through it at the exact same time just adds to my interest. Maybe I'll be brave like you and post all of the details after my Dr's visit. ;D
Sorry about the awful morning sickness.
Almost forgot: Thank you for the advice regarding the air quality of the home. I do not mind being scared at all when it is for the health/well being of my child...(ren!)
Just yesterday a friend of mine who is taking zofran as well told me that it causes headaches!! I hope you get over all of this soon!!!
awww.. you're doing great! it'll go by so fast!!!
I hope your sickness does not last long. We fight a constant battle with toys--moving the seldom used ones is a weekly event.
Shocking how quickly what we thought was going to be...can change. Not for the worse but sometimes for the better. I hope you feel better, with my first I thought I was sick, then along came number two and I was so sick I needed to get prescription. Nothing says good teacher like "hey kids ill be back in about ten mintues when I am done being one with the toilet bowl" Thank god for the teacher across the hall who made sure my room full of teenagers didn't run away when I was puking every hour
Congrats!!!
And it sounds like everything is just going swimmingly... :)
I totally agree... GIRL!
Aww! A spring baby!!
One thing that worked for my morning sickness was anything ginger. I lived off of ginger candy and ginger ale for almost 5 months. I hope the dreaded morning sickness goes away fast!
Thanks for sharing all the details. Love it! :)
Yay for a May baby! I'm a May baby also!!!
Sorry about your morning sickness - that's a terrible feeling!
As for the PPD, I was concerned about it also, and for good reason, since it hit me hard and fast. Luckily, though, I had talked to my doctor about it from about midway through my pregnancy, and he was armed and ready with an arsenal of help and medication, when needed. It's made a world of difference!
I hope that morning sickness goes away quickly!!! Sounds like everything is perfect with her so far ... did you notice that? ;) I agree with you.
Hope you're doing well, friend! Much love.
