You asked...
...Now I'm answering!
Last month in this post, I asked you all to submit questions that I would answer on my birthday.Well, today's the day!!! I'm officially 28! And I'm officially going to answer all your questions in the standard, Truthful Tuesdays way...

<a href="http://confessionsfromaworkingmom.com/" title="Confessions from a Working Mom"><img src="http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af194/iamconfessing/TruthfulTuesdays.jpg" width="175" height="175" alt="Confessions from a Working Mom" /></a>
So, let's get to the questions:
Sarah from For The Love Of Naps wants to know:
What is one thing you really want for your birthday?
A lot of you asked me some version of this question... what do I want this year? What's my favorite gift from years past, etc etc etc? Well, the answer to both those questions is actually the same. Last year I asked for a day 100% free from responsibility (I was fortunate enough to take my birthday off last year; today, I'm at work). DH did all the cooking, cleaning, diaper-changing, baby feeding... and I just relaxed, read, took a walk, a nap, played with G. It was great! That's what I'm asking for again this year (DH will make good on that deal on Saturday).
*Oh yeah, and one more thing-- a Duke national championship! And that's exactly what I got as an early birthday gift last night. GO DEVILS!!!
B-Dub from Enjoy The Ride asked:
Are you planning on having any more kids or is G enough to love?
Ahhh, the great debate in the Confessions household! Last August, I'd convinced DH to start trying in January (as in, 3 months ago). Then I backed out. Then, I wanted to start trying in February (I'm a woman, it's my perrogative to change my mind), but DH wasn't ready. Now, we're thinking September, but there's something holding me back. The answer to your question is, I still don't know.
Ali from Snapshots... Growing Up In The M Family (an online friend of mine from LONG before I started this blog!) posed this two-pronged question:
Have you considered leaving your current job to become a writer full-time? And as a bonus: Have you considered commercializing your blog as an extra source of income?
Yeah... kinda... sorta. I've considered BOTH those options, but I like writing short-form, and blogging is perfect for that. Same with TV. Novels? Even short stories? Not sure I'd succeed with that many words! As for commercializing my blog, I kind of went into my thoughts on that here... is it possible? Yes. Do I ever think I could make a living blogging? No.
Julie from Foursons wants to know:
What advice do you have for a SAHM who is about to go back into the workforce? How do you balance it all?
Sorry, I'm using this question as a blatant promotion for one of the posts my friend, Julia, wrote over on our other blog (Our Mommyhood-- if you haven't checked it out yet, you should!). She wrote a great article about how to transition to live when you go back to work after having a baby. And whether your babies are 4 months, 4 years, or 14, I think a lot of the advice still rings true!
Beth from Me As A Mommy asked:
If money wasn't an issue (as in you had an unlimited supply) would you still work? Are you a working mama because you love your job, or are you a working mama because you have to be?
When I saw Beth's question on the original post, I knew at once that I didn't want to answer this question... and that I would, anyway. If money weren't an issue, I think I'd still work (money, however, IS an issue, lest you get confused). I like having something that is mine, and I'm very goal-oriented. If I didn't have to earn a paycheck, though, I'd probably work as a volunteer at a charity I'm passionate about (most likely Ronald McDonald House, where I actually start volunteering later this month). I'd ideally like to work 20-25 hours a week, whether I get paid or not.
Erin from Cultivating Rosebuds submitted this question:
Is the picture in your blog header your actual desk?
You've caught me red-handed! It's a stock photo that I selected because of the large computer monitor. I'm actually thinking of changing up my blog design (again!) and maybe this time I'll actually use my desk (which, by the way, isn't an actual desk. It's a "pod". The producers at my TV station all sit at one big table with 6 different "work stations". Oh yeah, absolutely NO privacy there!).
Tabitha from Someday Acres asked:
If you could freeze and live any time in your life forever, when would that be?
Well don't you know it, that's the topic for this week's Top 3 Thursday question... so I'm not going to answer it now, but I will on Thursday!

Yea! It's always so much fun getting to know writers through their posts. I ope you have the happiest of birthdays and enjoy your day of no responsibility. I'm going to remember that (although my husband can't get our 2 year old to eat for him) and ask for it on my birthday!
