This week, we want to know...
This question was submitted by another blogging friend, "Heather". I have a nasty shopping habit from way back, but right now, we're broke... so... I figured, I'd go on a virtual shopping trip!
#3) Banana Republic. Now, to be honest, I think some of their stuff is overpriced based on the quality. A few years ago, I bought a cute "going out" shirt from BR, which promptly disintegrated after it's 3rd time in the wash. But, I've also bought classic, timeless pieces that-- even after 3, 5, 7 years-- are still staples of my current wardrobe.
#2) Monkee's. No, not like the 60's British pop band (which, in my opinion, was a watered-down, less-edgy version of the Beatles...). Monkee's is a chain of women's clothing stores located primarily in the Southeast (and just for all you stalker-types... this is NOT the storefront of my local shop!). They sell everything from Lilly Pulitzer to Diane von Furstenberg to Jack Rogers... namely, brands I can't afford and have no business buying in the first place! But the sales staff is always so kind, and has no problem letting me try on gorgeous (and expensive!) outfits during my lunch break.And my go-to place to shop is...
#1) Target. Ahhhh, yes, Tar-jay if you are French (or just a highly sophisticated shopper). I adore Target for so many reasons. Almost every piece of clothing I've bought over the past year comes from this giant, big box retailer (although, if you ever see me in person, I will deny it!). Same with G's wardrobe (not DH's, though; they never seem to have pants in his size!). I also buy most of my cosmetics, Christmas and birthday gifts, electronics, and-- sometimes-- grociers here! Fortunately, there's a Tar-jay just 3.7 miles down the road (not like I've ever calculated it, or anything)!

I'm with Kerri - I really wish I could go shopping now! And Target's my number 1 as well, although that's probably no surprise. I bet a lot of people love Target. :)
Tarjay definitely would have made my top spot, too! It's a dangerous place for me.

J gets a lot of his clothes via gifts, but when it is up to me, he shops the outlet's with me. When he is with Daddy, he is a BRU kid all the way.

I never shop at Banana Republic because it is in the "ritzy" mall and everything is way overpriced.
I've never heard of Monkee's. Hmmm...
And I don't make it to Target very often because there is not one close.
I too love Target! I also love Carters for kids clothes...so much so that I drive 5 hours twice a year to shop there! And Lane Bryant for myself! It's hard to find cute clothes for big girls!
Oh yeah, Target is my hot spot for spending my money! My Target is a hop, skip and a jump from work. Maybe that's why I'm always there?

I have to answer this question from the Mrs. perspective because I hate to shop. Fortunately, my wife likes to, but where we live takes awhile to get to any decent shopping. Saying that, here are her top 2:
1) TJ Maxx
2) Target
hmmm...i'm not much of a shopper...most of my shopping is at the grocery store
target is nice..could walk around there all day

Yup, I'm on that bandwagon. Tarjay all the way. When I can get there, the Marshalls in the next shee shee town over has great finds too (our local one SUCKS!)
I've only shopped at Banana when I have a gift card but the Hubs would shop there all the time, if he could. oh, that and Lucky brand, (only their jeans though!)
I love Tar-jay Boutique as my mom calls it! Love the Circo brand for the baby!!!
Also you should try Pennys for Baby and Toddler. They have the brightest and cutest stuff. The brand we love is Oke-Dokie!!! Super cheap, never shrinks or fades and holds up!! They also have Osh-Kosh and character sets as well.
This weekend I stocked up on shorts and t's for Sarah and it was buy 1 get one for $.88!!!
Yes, she does have every single color they had in shorts and t's!!
Personally I love the Gap. Also Old Navy, but their stuff shrinks. The Gap never shrinks.
Also a a huge Kohls fan. I love the shirts in the jr. dept!

I don't like shopping enough at all to have three favorite places,really, and certainly not enough to write a whole post about it, but if money were not an issue AND I lived in an area that had more choices, I would buy most of my groceries at Trader Joe's, my clothes at LL Bean, and I would pretty much spend the rest of my shopping time at Barnes and Noble.
Tar-jay is def. on the list! TJ Maxx is okay but they have gotten pricey...you really have to watch what you buy there. Sephora is def. a favorite too!

It is RIDICULOUS how many times a week I am at Target!
I live far enough away that going to Target is a treat. Except for my husband. For him it's just like, twice a month punishment.

Interesting about the BR shirt. I used to shop there more when I worked, but agree some of their stuff is over priced.
