This blog carnival is truly as easy as it sounds...
Each week, The (Un)Experienced Mom and I will pick a category, then ask you to share your Top 3 thoughts on it. We hope you'll play along with us!
This week, we want to know...
If you live anywhere from Texas to the Southeast, up to thru the mid-Atlantic, and even on into the Northeast, you have had one
#3) March Madness. I'm a pretty darn competitive person to begin with, but this is the month I live for. One of my coworkers and I operate a friendly office pool based on the brackets every year. I always lose (and lately, my team has too-- GO DUKE!)-- but I still enjoy the camraderie it brings (and the welcome distraction from TV ratings).
#2) My birthday. Yes, yes, I'm sure you're already sick of hearing about it... but I think ALL birthdays are special, not just mine. In fact, I already know what I'm getting DH for his birthday, and it's still four months away! I'm not as vain as you think :)
And my
#1) WARM WEATHER! After a winter wrapped up in closed-toe boots, my feet are aching for my flip flops. My shoulders can't wait to feel the fresh air of a tank top; my knees are ready for shorter hemlines (although, my unshaven legs are most definitely not). I love the feeling of newness-- of a fresh start-- that the spring brings, too. It's like a clean slate every year (although, that reminds me, it also bring spring cleaning-- maybe my least favorite part of the season!)

Ah, yes ... the final four ... NCAA BBall how could I forget- as I have no fav. I'll send a shout out to Duke as well!
I'm boycotting March Madness until the Cincinnati Bearcats get a real head coach. NCAA basketball is dead to me.
I can't wait for baseball! Go Yankees!
Spring means my anniversary! Also, my youngest birthday - he will be 13 this year!
I absolutely, positively, cannot wait for that warm weather! By the weekend, it is supposed to be back in the mid to upper 60's around here! You know what that means? Flip flops!!!
Warm weather wins by far. To me, there are few things better than the feel of the hot sun on my skin.
Hmmm, I want to play along again, but this one's tougher for me to think about than last week! Honestly I think I'd say the same exact same stuff as 2/3 of yours (not that your birthday isn't important...I agree that all birthdays are very important, it's just not one of the top 3 things I personally associate with spring :-) )
1. Our birthdays in April.
2. Flowers in bloom and yardwork.
3. Getting to spend quality time outdoors with my husband and fat belly! =)
I am also excited for warm weather! We've had a preview this week with temps in the mid-to-high 60's, but I am really looking forward to 70's & 80's so I can dress Ava in all of her cute spring clothes and introduce her to gardening and the greenbelt!
Next up: SXSW, an amazing film and music festival Austin hosts each spring!
And Spring Break, since I get the week off!
I'm also pretty excited for Ava's first Easter!
Stopping by from SITS to say Hi!
Please stop by!

Yea March Madness.
1) Rediscovering our local parks (after the snow melts).
2) The NFL draft.
3) Planning for our summer beach vacation. We have regular things that and mix it with some new stops.
Do you claim the whole SEASON for your birthday? AWESOME! ;-) YAY for shorter hemlines, I love that thought!! :-D
I love birthdays too! And I can't wait to get my sandals out!
I've linked you up on my blog for a game...come play with us :)
Bwaahhaaha! I agree with your #1. Being a Florida gal I used to shave my legs everyday. Even in the winter. But since we have had the LONGEST winter I can remember I gave up shaving everyday. What's the point??
Definitely the warm weather!!
OH my husband and his family would love ya so much for saying March Madness!!! Its their favorite!
I love birthdays too, and it seems I have so many friends and family with spring bdays...including me and my daughter!
Im linking up! ~Jen~
I also dig some bball but I am also ready for the other bball and I just love warm =)
1. not wearing big bulky winter coats (makes me feel like i weigh a hundred pounds more and trapped) and not having to buckle the kids into carseats in those gigantic coats!
2. the end of the winter blues--i seriously have to have s.a.d.
it's like i can finally breath again when spring rolls around
3. getting outside and moving again--i'm a hermit in the winter and i totally need some sunshine and vitamin d!
4. i'll add another b/c it's pretty high on my list--not worrying about being snowed in anymore and being able to get to work if i'm on call
Oh man!! I am SO with you on warm weather!! I can't WAIT!!! I am freezing as I type!
It's ALL about the weather...enough said. Spring weather means freedom.
I have nothin else, cabin fever with twins in the house has made me long for spring baddddddd..
I am with you on the birthday and the warm weather...march madness..not so much...basketball right??
So, I've gotta say that I am a list writing freak! I make lists for EVERYTHING... It keeps me organized and who doesn't love the satisfaction of crossing something off of their list when it's done? Although, I will add stuff to my list that I did that wasn't on it, just so I can cross that off too... Am I a freak? Ha ha!
Get your bracketts ready.
Ummmm....Didn't Duke lose to MD. last night? ummmm....Think so
hmm that is a tough one
1. I am also a spring baby and I love my birthday (what only child doesn't)
2. Grilled food, I am a bit over cassaroles and all things in the oven
3. SANDLES/FLIP FLOPS-Maybe it is my poofy swollen nine month pregnant feet that are currently screaming to get out my shoes, but I love sandles and painted toe nails (mine may or may not be painted, I haven't seen them in a few months)
1. The sun.
2. The first flowers.
3. No shoveling snow!
Warm weather, grilled food, and mine and Aurora's birthdays!!
It's the time of year here when the sun feels SO good. It isn't blistering yet, and I love being outside.
P.S. My college roommate's sister went to Duke. Probably not there when you were. Not that you would know her even if she were :)
1. The Sun - my pasty-white legs are demanding to see him: PRONTO!
2. Outside - so I can send the kids there and not worry about snow being trampled back in the house, or kids coming back in to bother me with "there's nothing to do" because it's too cold to be outside more than 5 hours, I mean minutes.
3. Vegetable garden - I stood drooling for so long in the Walmart garden section (the plants! The seeds! The toys!) that I was given a mop.
I am excited about March Madness too!! My Jayhawks are gonna sweep it! :)
It is warm here 40 degrees and Spring is all we have been talking about! We put in an above ground pool last year and are so excited to use it and to play and chalk and bike!!!!!!
I can't stand it!!!!!!
I am oh so ready for Spring!
Bring on the flip flops and popsicles!
Yes, yes and yes to spring/warm weather! Yay!!!
This is a great meme. I will play soon!
spring
1.more sunshine!
2.fewer clothes
3.more traveling

haha, I loved what you wrote in your headline. So funny, I'm OBSESSED with lists, can't live without em.
My favorite thing about spring is also my birthday, and now it's also my son's birthday. He'll be one this month. And I love spring because it means that it's one step closer to summer.
Happy early birthday to you, as well!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's not always fun having the same bday as my hubby because I always make sure things are done for him and he doesn't always reciprocate.
Getting outside.
Going to outdoor events.
Seeing all our neighbors outside.
I LOVE THE COLORS!! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT SPRING!!
