Ladies, I have a confession...
Because confessing is what
this blog is all about!
Closer...
Closer...
I don't have a post for today.
I know! Me! The self-appointed Queen of Friday blog hops. But ladies, I just didn't have it in me today. I have been working my poor little fingers to the bone. No, not at work. Please, I'm not that dedicated. I've been teaming up with this crazy lady (and this one, and this one, and a whole bunch of others) to create something new, and-- we think, at least-- pretty darn awesome. I've been holding it together-- or appearing to hold it together-- but I just needed a break today. So, as I like to do at my day job on Fridays (no, not really), I'm just gonna mail it in...

Head to Kailani's blog to see what's she's asking. As for me, I want to know:
I happen to know that DH is going to be working late when I get home tonight... so I am going to treat myself to a glass of wine (hoping we have some in the house), and my favorite girly movies... maybe little "Hairspray" (love that Zac Efron; glad he's not jailbait anymore), a little "Mean Girls", a little "Love Actually"? And an early bedtime; this week, it's a must!
If you're new to my blog, welcome! I hope you like what you see. Leave a comment and let me know you stopped by so I can repay the visit. And don't forget to enter my latest giveaway-- a party favor prize package from A Blissful Nest!

I hear ya! I was so glad to get my splint off, but now..NOW I have my fingers buddy wrapped!! Grr.. At least I can type better now. lol
My way to unwind is after we put J to bed...we do nothing. NADA ZIP ZILCH. well not nothing entirely. Mike usually plays games on his computer or we might watch a movie. I, usually, surf around the web looking at the day's news stories, look at facebook and some of my fav blogs. That's it. We're a boring, married couple! LOL
Elizabeth - I forgive you! I pull posts out of my butt most of the time. Enjoy the weekend!
That sounds like my kind of night. I think we'll stay in tonight...boy that's different. I usually spend Friday nights catching-up on blogging. We started a poker night at our house last month that just didn't stick. I need more friends here!
I would love to actually go to a movie... Alice and Wonderland looks great.
Love Actually is one of my favs....you should pick that one!
Oh man, I love me some Zac. I want to scoop him up and carry him around in my pocket and take him out when no one is looking and stroke his gorgeousy hair and maybe kiss his face off and coo at him and stuff.
Elizabeth...we will let it slide this Friday! :P
And that is so odd about the dog tail-waging thing...I may have to do some experimenting with my pups!
Hope you had a great week!!
Well enjoy- I'll lift a glass and send a toast you way!! Cheers.
Have a fabulous weekend!
I love Love Actually. I have probably watched it 50 times and I never get sick of it!
Take some well deserved time off!
Enjoy that wine!
NOTHING... absolutly nothing... after a week of plans and deadlines, events, meetings...whatever, the most relaxing thing for me is to do( and think) about nothing. Oh and, doing nothing pairs beautifully with a nice chilled Sav. Blanc!
We veg on the couch with the dog, sometimes without moving a muscle for a couple of hours. J's job is very physical, so his body is exhausted at the end of the day. Mine's more mental strain, so watching something absolutely stupid (i.e. comedy central) is the perfect way for both of us to unwind. Anything that requires NO thinking or moving is acceptable! (Sleeping is usually the outcome...)
I have been dying to see '17 Again' -- with your love of Zac, did you see it? :-) Happy Friday!
emailing you about said project!!! relax this weekend... you deserve it!! remember, the blogging world will not crash if you don't have a post!!! ;)
All is still well in the blogiverse and I will return when you do have a post heck I read this one right! =)
I'm so excited about our project!!! Have a good weekend!
Handing the kids over to the husband, locking the bedroom door and watching mindless tv (with my kindle next to me so I don't fee TOO guilty and as a prop. If I have to open the door, I can say I was reading!)
ahahaha!! I was busy myself today and kept telling myself that I needed to check and see your Friday post. And you bombed today!
Thanks for teasing us about this new adventure! haha!
Can't wait! Enjoy your weekend!!
oh I so say that sounds like a perfect evening! Did you see Zac in 17 again? I actually really like it!
One of my favs is mean girls, how can you not love that movie! Jen~
Ha, I switched to 4 or so posts per week a few months ago--I just can't keep pace.
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you get some rest.
Have fun unwinding tonight!
I unwind by going to work. I have a part time job on the weekends. It gets me out of the house, time to use my brain and QUIET. I am normally the only one in the office. It's bliss.
Relax and unwind...sounds fun..enjoy!
(My word verification was restss)
It's a sign..lol
Of course I want to respond to each and every one of your sweet comments today-- but I'm exhausted-- so I'm going to thank you all right here. You guys just bring me up when I'm feeling down; I have the best bloggy tribe in the whole world!!!
~Elizabeth
Have a relaxing weekend! Even your non-post was a great post :-)
SO what are you up to????
we'll let you slide :)
i can't believe so many of you bloggers post every day! (and a good post at that)
for unwinding....
either veg on the couch and try to catch up the dvr
or take a walk
or play with the kiddos
the dog thing was pretty neat! i'll send this on to all my doggie friends
just a fyi for some non-doggy people--sometimes a wagging dog tail is actually a sign of aggression--it's called flagging (not the same as wagging)
if their tail is up high and straight and wags back and forth quickly--watch out
it's pretty obvious to most people that know dogs--but i know many who have confused it for a friendly dog..it often happens right before they attack your dog
My favorite way to wind down is to grab a snack (banana bread with peanut butter is my fave), drink some tea, and curl up on the couch and watch my PVR! And DO NOT DISTURB me!
Hubby and I go to Starbucks every Friday morning and sit on the patio and chat. It is the start of our weekend (he only works Mon-Thur), so it helps us catch up after a long week and it kicks off our three day weekend. It is bliss. Looking forward to the reveal of whatever you all have been working on.
You are allowed to have off day and feel like not posting at all. Relax and have a great time!
I love just watching movies on the couch!
haha that is funny about the dog thing. I am kind of scared of dogs, so good to know!
Shh...don't tell...I think the times I truly don't know what I'm talking about are my most successful posts...
Have a fabulous weekend!
I find my totally desperate and barely coherent posts are the ones people like the most. :) How do I unwind well I would LOVE to say reading a book and sitting in the tub but I never actually do it.
A glass of wine and a movie sounds wonderful! I usually unwind by becoming a couch potato and catching up on all the shows I've missed during the week.
Hi! This is my first time here! What a bunch of nice friends you have here! I love just relaxing and not doing much of anything.
I think I'll have a glass of wine with you! Cheers! It's been a long week. Xoxo happy weekend!
It's been a veeeeerrrry long week at our house. And you know what? I think I'll have me a glass of wine to go with my sinus and cold medication while hubby and I sit here in our office on different computers surfing the web listening to Jack breathe on the monitor. :)
Don't you love Fridays???
My favorite way to wind down after a long week??
A long bubble bath after the girls go to sleep. Classical music on the Ipod. Peace. *sigh*
Who on earth doesn't need a break from the crazy blogging every now and then?
I know for certain I do!
Wind down? Well, when I am eating bad stuff, I love to have a Cold Stone ice cream, and cup of decaf coffee and curl up in front of the t.v. for something mindless.
You deserve a break. And now you make me excited to find out what this great thing ya'll are working on. Must be great cuz it's a great group of ladies involved.
I love to knit to unwind!! And I can do that while watching girly movies too! BUT, I don't own any, so it'd have to be one I've rented or if it's on tv...mostly I just watch stuff I've dvr'd...that's a good nite for me! In fact, I'm gonna go do that now!!!
I love those films too, although I prefer the original Hairspray- a bit more subversive ;-)
I like to unwind with wine and movies, although last night I turned up the radio and had a mini-rave with both my kids in the kitchen. Great fun, wore them out and helped me loosen the knots!
Please drop by when you've got the time at http://babesabouttown.com
End of the week wind down? It has to involve a nice glass of red wine. Other than that, I can make anything work. I'm a frequent On Demand movie purchaser (it's so easy to go CLICK!). I've also gotten into the habit of making homemade pizza on Friday night. I think it's my new tradition. It's the combination of baking and PIZZA!!! that works for me.
I wish I was home on Fridays...everyone always has the most fun memes.
Well, maybe one day I will stay home JUST to participate in a fun meme! (yeah right, I need my day away)...
I love to unwind with a glass of wine.
