This week's queen is...

Lisa @ This Mommy Works!

As the title of her blog implies, Lisa is a working mom. But don't let that title fool you-- her job definitely comes second after her role as "mama". Her two little girls are budding artistas-- literally-- taking on everything from ballet to "self-painting" (you must see these pictures!). What struck me the most about Lisa, though, is how alike she and I are... even down to what our mothers said to us about the birth of our daughters. Here's a little more about her, in her own words:

"Hello! I am Lisa, a wife of 5 1/2 years and a mother of a very sassy 3 ½ year and an almost 2 year old that is always calling out for her “mama”. You would think that all of this, plus a full-time job as a Financial Analyst, would be enough. Wrong. I also like to throw a little photography in the mix, lots of scrapbooking, playgroups and so much more. In fact, my husband refers to me as a “fly on s*&!” because I never sit down and have self-diagnosed myself with being a little on the OCD side. That’s the way I like my life… busy, busy, busy!

I’ve been blogging for a little over a year, but just recently started this new blog. I am fascinated by all of the talented women (and men too, I guess) that are out there! I love that I’ve found a place for me to express my joys (and frustrations) about being not only a mother, but a working mother. I don’t get to talk on the phone much, so I guess you could say that my blog is how I communicate.

Ladies, I am currently putting the nomination process on hold. Ya'll have flooded me with enough nominations to last until MID-JUNE!
