Once again, I'm going to try to cram in all my favorite Friday memes... while cleaning the house from head to toe! Hence the frantic part!
I like to start with "Friday Fragments" from Mrs. 4444s-- this post really helps clean my head!

The closer we get to the holidays,
the more fragmented my thoughts become!
-I do not know how, but DH has managed to get a hole-- no, sorry, not a hole, but multiple, massive holes-- in each and every one of his socks (and undershirts, and underwear!). I buy him new sets of all three every year for Christmas, and every year by Thanksgiving he is walking around in tattered clothes. How do men do this? I have owned the same pairs of socks and underwear since I was in college, and trust me, those were some rough years, and not a hole to be found!!!
-I am downright glum over the absense of "Glee". Anybody else? I find myself absurdly attracted to YouTube, where I can watch and listen to the best musical performances of the fall season over and over (all right, and OVER) again. My favorite song right now is "Defying Gravity". The song alone makes me wish I'd had tickets for "Wicked" when it came to town last year.
-Speaking of music, G and I have been treating ourselves to rockout parties in the living room before bedtime lately. We only do it on days that DH works (even though he's back to days, he still doesn't get home til almost 8pm), so that we are free to dance and spin and sing and be silly without anyone's prying eyes (except possibly the neighbors, but they don't count, do they?). My crazy girl, she apparently only believes in partner dancing-- she loves to "get down", but only if I pick her up and dance with her!
-We are currently bracing for "Imminent Winter Catastrophe" here in the South-- aka, up to 4 inches of snow. Excuse me if I don't storm the nearest grocery store to stock up on milk and bread. I grew up in the Great Lakes; we often got a foot of fresh snow overnight. To me, four inches is diddly. I will, however, stay off the roads simply because the fools around here can't drive in the rain, let alone the snow.
-Keeping Tally: Number of times I kicked DH out of bed this week- two. I think we're still learning to adjust to his newly nocturnal sleeping habits.

This is an easy and hard question at the same time! I have a couple of "favorite" charities, but then again, there are sooooo many more that are incredibly deserving of support!
Here is my answer, though:
#2: March of Dimes
#3: Heifer International
Each of those answers links to the organization's home page, so go check them out for yourself!
And somehow, Mama M always ends up last... simply because she posts last... and I can't get her to spill the beans ahead of time!

This week's questions are:
1. Which boygroup did you like most in your teens?
This is an easy one... N*Sync!!! I saw them three times in concert in the late '90s early '00s. In fact, one time, I made my then-boyfriend go with me... and we were thisclose to buying him a pair of pleather pants so he would look "good" at the concert. Oh dear. To this day, I am scared by the image of him in those things... Fortunately, better sense prevailed and we did not buy them.
2. Do you do Christmas cards, letters, photos, nuthin', all of the above?
We've always done just plain old Christmas cards; although, when we were newlyweds, I looked forward to having a baby so I could (in my mind) "justifiably" order photo cards. But we've been so busy the past two years, I've never had time to get them!
3. If you could meet one celebrity who would it be and why?
Um, is there any doubt it would be none other than Peyton Manning? I love that guy... I own his jersey, I may or may not have used his name as G's middle name... yup, it would be him! And an interesting Peyton Manning story-- you know Kevin Bacon and the whole "Six Degrees of Separation" game? Well, my male anchor at work is a lot like Kevin Bacon-- VERY well connect. Turns out, because of him, I am just THREE DEGREES away from Peyton! My anchor is old golfing buddies with Colts head coach Jim Caldwell, who obviously knows Peyton! Maybe one day, I'll meet him... sigh...
4. Favorite thing to cook with (i.e. stainless, non-stick, Dutch oven, microwave, debit card...or, perhaps, a cauldron, etc.)?
I love that Mama M included "debit card" in here. How about my husband? DH does all the cooking in our house; he fancies himself a bit of a foodie, while I hate to be in the kitchen (unless I'm cleaning it).
5. What is the one thing you wear the most, besides your unmentionables?
This is a tough one! I could say my favorite hair tie (um, yes, I do have a favorite hair tie... because it's the only one I've found that doesn't make my pony tail droopy or rip my hair out!). I could say it's my contacts. I could say my wedding band. But all those are sorta gimmes, like underwear. So I'm going to say my Rock n Republic jeans. I bought myself a pair as a "treat" for losing the baby weight, and I live in them! Jeans are fabulous; they are fashionable AND comfortable!
And remember, I still need your...

You are not alone in mourning the loss of Glee. I am not sure how we are supposed to survive without it. :) I have also been stalking YouTube to see some of my favorite clips.
How can one possibly resist?
I'm glad my husband isn't the only one who seems to wear his under garments out. I don't quite understand how it happens either!!
Kudos to your efforts at donations for the RMH. As a former Ronald McDonald House family, what they provide is so valuable.
My late daughter loved to go there and cook for the families. It was a joy.
I'm in NC and yes, they are talking about all the snow. Though I'm on the coast and right now, they are only talking about it hitting west of 95. They did say it could be 8-12 inches. But, being from the north, I'm like whatever.
And it completely cracks me up how everyone stocks up on bread and milk. What IS that?
Fun post!
I am SO upset over Glee. They are pulling a "LOST" and I don't like it. I would rather some reruns in between in order to have it on every week no matter what. That's just mean!
Holes in clothes - speaking of, my hubby had a whole t-shirt in the garbage this morning. B/c it had holes. Hmmm....
Thanks for joining the game of course! ;-)
My husband does the same thing!! Drives me batty!
Before-bedtime-rock-out! Love it!!
My 3 charities are easy b/c they've all played a part in my story...
1. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
2. March of Dimes
3. CHOA
Have a GREAT weekend!!
I have never done the Friday Five. I can't wait to see today's questions.
I don't know why people continue to get excited about the possibility of snow around here. We hardly even get 4 inches, and if we do, it's all melted away by the end of the day. I think this State would shut down and destroy itself from the inside out if we were to ever get more than 6 inches of snow.
I don't get the holes in clothes things either. I have had the same pair of jeans for years and yes, they are a little warn, but they don't have holes. My husband's jeans last only a few months. What the heck is he doing in them?
Oh, yes, the holes. It's rather impressive. My theory is that it's because men's underclothes are made of a thinner weave of material than ours, and they don't moisturize. Rough skin and calluses + thin cotton = holes.
The March of Dimes is such a great charity! We do the walk every year with the kids and it is awesome!!
Totally jealous that you got to see Nsync 3 times!!
And I couldn't wait until I had kids to do those photo cards! And my oldest is 5 and this is the first year I did them! HA!
Glee *sigh* Its gonna be LONG wait til April when its back on!! I'm still loving Don't Stop Believing as my fave Glee song...*sigh*
I think the holes in socks and undies is so a male thing! LOL I live that here as well my guys look homeless
I am so sad about Glee it is my new fav show!
enjoyed your FF
all these fun friday posts...I like to do a flash back friday and look back on my awkward teen years
I live in VA and we are expected to get up to an inch of snow and people are going crazy!!! I went to the grocery store earlier today and it was a mad house in there. The line was wrapper around the inside of the store, you couldn't shop cause the line was so long. I don't get it??? I do hope it snows a little bit though, it would be so much fun to have snow around Christmas and my boys would love it :o)
Have a great weekend!
I plan on doing photo cards once we have kids, but i can see myself slipping also
I was a Glee Late Bloomer - I only discovered it on the 3rd to last episode. I was so hooked by the end of the first half hour; I was devastated when I found out it was almost over for the season. I play Defying Gravity at TOP VOLUME like 30 times a day...and I make everyone else in my family listen too. I am so buying the first season on December 29th. Not that I know when it's coming out or anything!
So, can your Kevin Bacon guy hook us up or what? I love that you picked Peyton too! I had to scramble to get my post up finally tonight, and am just now getting around to read answers! (Did you stay up way to late and watch the game last night!?)
Love this post! So much going on.
I am a big fan of Heifer International too. Great charity.
Phew!! That was a lot of Fridays thoughts (sorry, trying to catch up)!!

My hubby seems to wear holes in his socks and underwear, too - haven't been able to figure out why or how...
I guess I'm going to have to jump on the Glee bandwagon and watch episodes on Hulu...everyone keeps raving about it! :)
I'm up in PA and where I'm at, we could see 2 feet of snow today - I've shoveled 3 times already, but after a couple of hours it looks like I've done nothing! Crazy! But I agree - 4 inches is nothing, but I don't go out in it because of the other morons that think they're invincible and drive like maniacs. ;)
Happy FF a day late! Stay warm! :)
Okay, what I want to know is how my hubby gets holes in his underwear??? And he continues to still wear them anyway.
Very cool about being only 3 degrees away from Peyton Manning!!
I must be the only person in the world who hasn't caught one episode of Glee!
I think some places just don't know what to do with snow. They see it and everyone goes into panic mode! The entirety of this country has ground to a halt and there isn't more than 5 or 6 inches on the ground here... it's really bizarre *L*
I love my Rock and Republic jeans, too. I'm definitely in agreement with you there!
Glee...we miss you...
Great charity selections. I would choose local charities, though they have ALL been hard-hit by the economy, I'm sure.
My hubby's underwear and socks hold up remarkably well, but I do have two pairs of his old jeans hidden in my closet; they're so embarrassing!
Just a helpful suggestion: If you go to your Blogger settings/comments and switch them to open in a pop-up window, your commenters will be able to see the post AND the comment page at the same time (and therefore be able to remember what they want to comment about :)
