Five Question Friday!

Posted by: Confessions From A Work-At-Home Mom

Thank goodness is Friday... As I explained last week, we are in the middle of a ratings period at my TV station, and it is H-E-double-hockey-sticks! I've been looking forward to Mama M's "5 Question Friday" all week!

My Little Life

If you're a first time visitor to my blog, welcome! I love returning the favor, so if you feel so inclined, leave a comment or sign up to follow along!

Without further ado...

1. What is your dream job?

I'm actually trying to figure that out right now. As ya'll know, I've been seeing a counselor the last few months, and lately, we've been focusing a lot on my hatred malcontent with my current job. The problem is, I have a Masters degree in broadcasting, so I kind of feel pigeon-holed into this career. And honestly, I'm pretty good at it. But we all know that just because you're good at something doesn't mean you like doing it! A few professions I've considered are moving into public relations (which after working in TV sounds, frankly, a little boring), teaching on the community college level (which makes me think of NBC's newest Thursday night comedy), or opening my own dance studio (probably a pipe dream, but nice to think about!).

2. What song could you play over and over?

Gosh, this is so ghetto (don't judge, don't judge!)... But I simply adore Ludacris (aka, Christopher Bridges). I think he's an amazing actor (have you seen "crash"??), but I really started liking his songs. Yes, he's a super-dirty-ghetto-rapper, but if you don't listen to the words and just his beats, they are so much fun to dance (around my living room) to. My favorite is "Southern Fried Intro"-- when I was in grad school, the student group I danced with did an amazing hip hop number to this song, and it always gets me moving!

3. Do you prefer to talk on the phone or text (or email)?

Um, neither! Like so many of you have said, including Mama M herself, I really prefer face-time. That said, it's hard to balance my obligations and ask my friends to do the same so we have time to meet up. My girlfriends and I are pretty good, though, about getting together on a regular basis at our favorite hangout... Starbucks!!!

4. What is your must have beauty product?

FOUNDATION FOUNDATION FOUNDATION! I can't live without it! I even wear it on weekends. I hate to admit it, but my years as a lifeguard really did a number on my face, and even though I'm only 27, I'm utterly dissatisfied with the quality of my skin. My foundation really does a good job of covering up those problems (plus, it has SPF 15 in it, so it's a preventative measure against future damage, too!).

5. What is your favorite Michael Jackson song?

This is a tough one. Michael Jackson was a cultural icon for so long, and his musical catalogue is a long and distinguished one. I'm going to have to say "Beat It", because when I was an undergrad, I choreographed a tap dance to that song for my student dance troupe (wow, two dance references in one post!... No, no, three!). Whenever I hear that song, I immediately remember all (ok, most) of the steps to that dance!

Now it's your turn-- enter your link in Mama M's blog hop and play along!

I'm jealous! You're a dancer! I soooo wish I had just a teeny, tiny little bit of rhythm!!

I was a dancer too! I can't tell you the number of MJ songs we danced to through the years! :) And I so didn't see you saying Ludacris...too funny. He was great in Crash!

Happy Friday!

Lee :)

Know what you mean about the career dissatisfaction. I'm so there. I'm really good at my job as an Executive Assistant, but it's not at all what I thought I'd be doing by this point in my life!

What a fun Linky! I wish I was a dancer. So jealous of you!

i'll be back to join this fun...

well, i have another fun thing for you...an award and this comes frm the heart! ;)please come and grab it real soon

Love your blog! Your job does sound interesting. I agree with the foundation thing. I went two weeks without foundation and just put all in the kids in the car and went to the mall to get some! I don't know if I could live without it!

Ludacris....I love it!! Ghetto rapper, yes but so fun to dance to! :)

I was in dance in high school. I wish I would have kept up with it. Maybe I could lose some more of this weight! ;) Great blog!

i luv me some ludacris. It is quite funny to pull up next to teenagers playing his first cd and looking all mommy-fied! lol

Thanks for swinging by my blog yesterday!

Holy COW, reading your blog makes me feel inadequate! I mean that as a compliment to you. Even when I just had my step-son and my daughter, I wasn't as organized and put together as you are. And I didn't work out of the home! Now with my son in the mix as well...fah getta bout it!
