I have good news! DH & I were putting away some of G's laundry tonight (he did the wash itself, so it was my duty to put it away, actually... lovely man, he helped me!), and were stuffing cramming placing some of G's blankets in the drawer underneath her crib when it got stuck. A little pulling, a little yanking, and... VOILA!... there was Lenny! Apparently, he'd gotten wedged in. I'm still not sure how, but I do know that I have a very happy 14-month-old sleeping soundly in her crib with a lemur by her side.

When I was born, I got a Snoopy stuffed animal that was my security blanket for the next, like, 10 years. I carried him around by one of his floppy lil black ears and it had to be resewn on so many times, I lost count.
So when I was about 10 my family went to Disney World on a vacation and I took Snoopy with me. One morning we left the hotel and went to the park and when we got back, Snoopy was gone. Nowhere to be found. And we never did find him, despite calling the front desk and the laundry service (thinking he was tangled up in the sheets). I was devastated, and while my grandma bought me a new snoopy toy a year later (which I still have), it was never the same. So I very much hope you find Lenny :-)
I am laughing! My car is the bottomless pit of crap...I'll go and check..maybe lenny is there.
I hope you find Lenny
Hahaha - great post! I've been lucky so far that we haven't lost anything that important, but I'm sure it'll happen eventually. Maybe we should always buy 2 of everything? ;-)
Oh, I hope you find Lenny or at least know where to buy his identical twin. She must be heartbroken, give her a hug for me.
Deb
Oh no! That is a big fear of mine loosing my sons monkey that he sleeps with or the monkey loosing its limbs from being washed so much. I would buy more if I could find them!
We are also always loosing binkies!
i swear this house has a losing crap vortex - we lose shoes, phones, you name it, we lose it - good luck on the recovery! and thanks for my award! i'm adding it to the draft of my awards post! will get that out this weekend so be on the lookout!
Oh I'm so sorry Lenny is missing. My girls don't have lovies yet, but my son has enough for the whole family. :o) Bed-time does not go well if anyone is missing.
Thanks for stopping by. I think adopting you might be out of the question. :o) You know because you come with a husband and kid and all.
As for the cake I promise it wasn't hard just time consuming. For the crown I was going for cheap. HA! nice right??
That was great! I hope you find Lenny ASAP!
Uh oh, I hope you find him! My oldest, Caleb, would be devastated if we ever lost his Curious George.
I will start looking right way for all of those items lol

Anyway here's my reply to your comment left on my blog:
I didn't get it(Twitter) for a LONG time. I signed up a while ago and NEVER did anything with it. I'm glad I did 'cause now I see the benefit. It's a short-winded way to say what you are doing without calling a person or emailing them. It's great!

Awww. I remember when my niece was 2, she had a purple platypus. My brother-in-law left him in a hotel accidentally. He paid to have it shipped to them because he knew how attached his daughter was to it.
When I was a little girl I had a beanbag baby doll that I loved so much I sucked her face off. Anyways my mother was embarrassed to be seen with my faceless doll so while I was sleeping she snatched it up and told me baby had to go to the hospital and get fixed. Maybe this would buy you enough time to find a "new" Lenny. Oh and I found a cell phone charger under my kitchen sink when I moved into this apartment, could it possibly belong to you and if so what the hell is it doing under the sink?
Life with a toddler! Nothing's ever the same!
My engagement ring once went missing and was found later in the BBQ, burnt to a crisp.
Oh, I hope you find Lenny soon.
(Psst, we're always losing our remote control units around here, too!)
Oh no! I hope you find Lenny soon!!!! We have a few different loveys that I know my munchkin would be heartbroken if we misplaced. Though, in my house, there would definitely be blame placed in my direction, because I'm known as the "mad mover." Sometimes, because messes bother me, I put things away in weird places because they're convenient. Eek! Best of luck!
Good luck with Lenny. Have you tried the heating ducts? Also, this is a great blog and thank you for the earlier visit and kind words.
I need some help with finding stuff too. When you find someone good at this, will you please send them my way?
They should create a tag that works like the "finder beep" on phones, although I would go broke buying enough tags for everything little L is able to hide/lose. My little guy was born in September of 08 as well! I don't know why, but I got all excited when I read that lol! Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I hope you enjoyed your visit, I've surely enjoyed mine here!

Oh man! I can't even tell you what a heaping world of trouble I would be in if my daughter ever the one thing she is so attached to...her blanket. I even bought a second exactly like it, you know, just in case. Well, in an effort to have it get the same well used feel, I tried to swap them out. No dice. Not havin' it. I would be up s@*t creek!!
hhhaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for giving me an awesome laugh after a rough day!
Ironic that you mention the missing page 3 and the DVD remote.... seems like we are always looking for those. ;-)
Akin to Lenny, my bff's oldest son llllooooovvvveeeeeesssss LOVES his elmo. It has these plastic eyes on them... well, apparently her hubby stepped on elmo's eyes & they broke. The. WORLD. ended.
From that story, I've learned to buy triplicates of his favorite toy ;-) Of course, Z has 2 favorites, a little monkey lovie & a burp rag. Go figure, it is the burp rag he loves most.
I hope you find him, and when you do, buy 3 more!
Poor Lenny!
Thanks so much for stopping by & checking out Violet's blog - an ex-boyfriend's brother & sister-in-law did that with their son and I thought it was pretty cool to take a pic a day :) Happy 14 months to your daughter on Saturday!
ohhhh. I so know how you feel. Luckily, no lovies, only pacifiers which can easily be replaced. When I get down to 6-7 I start panicking and have to run to Target asap! ;)
hope you can find lenny the soonest possible time... anyway was here to say hello!
glad if you can find time to visit mine
Oh no! I hope you find him! My son is completely attached to a (are you ready?)....basketball. It got run over. Go search for Irish on my blog and you can read all about it. Anyway, now we have five back-ups. :)
Check under the bed. Everything my kids lose....under the bed! :P
Glad you found Lenny! We have dealt with lost loveys here, too, and it is no fun..
She (and your hubs) are too cute!
