What do you get when you combine one of my ex-boyfriend's from high school, my college alma mater (with an Alfred Hitchcock-esque makeover), and a murder mystery?
A not-so-sweet dream.
I've always had the ability to remember most of my dreams, and I enjoy looking them up on the internet in an attempt to analyze them. But this one has me stooped. Here's what happened:
I was a college student at "Dupont" waiting for a bus to take me from one part of campus to another. When the bus finally did arrive, my co-worker "J" was the driver. But in this dream, he wasn't my co-worker, just a bus driver named "J" making a cameo appearance. When he dropped me off, I saw a whole bunch of the people I knew from high school and college gathered on the steps in front of the chapel (the same steps where in real life, DH took a picture of me & G over homecoming weekend that I posted on my blog). All the people were on the steps in order to take a group picture, and a skinny woman with mousy brown hair was organizing us into the right places.
Then, I got a text from my "boyfriend" (here called BF) telling me we were through. I was devastated, and texted him back to ask why. At the same time, I bumped into his sister, who told me everything. Apparently, BF had slept with the mousy brunette just minutes after the aforementioned picture! So I texted BF back and told him I knew what he'd done, and that it was okay. I said that we're in college (although I was still my regular, old, 27-year-old self in the dream... apparently I was a 10th year senior), and that monogamy was overrated. We were reunited.
Happily on my way to my dorm (D200, which I couldn't find amid the new maze of construction and new dorms on campus, which is true of present-day "Dupont"), I got some more shocking news. That same mousy brunette had just been arrested for committing a murder just minutes after our photo was taken! How had she managed to sleep with my BF and kill someone? Was my BF involved in the murder? Had I just forgiven a philanderer and a murderer?
But, as with most dreams, my concerns went unresolved. Why does it always seem that the moment dreams are reaching their proverbial climax, our alarm starts buzzing? So, I have no idea who was murdered, why they were killed, or if my BF was involved in the crime.
But the bigger question I have is, why on earth did all these random factors suddenly appear in my subconscious? Anyone want to play dream analyzer here for me? Anyone want to share their own crazy dreams?

How bizarre! That's neat you remember your dreams, I rarely ever remember mine! But yea, I have no clue what that dream of yours could mean. Unless it's somehow related to you realizing your old BF has now possibly found "the one" and it's your mind's way of telling you she's not really all that great cause she's actually a "murderer"? There's my stab.
