Not Me! Monday

Posted by: Confessions From A Work-At-Home Mom

In the spirit of "Confession Sunday", I thought I'd play along with MckMama's "Not Me! Monday" this week. Yesterday's post was a little down-in-the-dumps, so I hope to make a few "lighter" confessions today.

You can play along with MckMama too. Just follow her blog and enjoy. It's one of my favorites!

This week, I did NOT pull into work rocking out an outfit straight from... ahem... Tar-jay (ok, ok, Target). From my shoes to my pencil skirt to the little faux snakeskin belt that ties it all together, I was NOT that thrifty of a shopper. On top of that, I am NOT-- how would you say it?-- I guess fashionably clashing is the best way. There's no way I would ever pair gray heels (while wondering, how did I ever get by without this fashion staple in my closet?), a purple skirt, a magenta sweater, and a beige belt. And I most certainly did NOT get a slew of compliments from my coworkers on my color choices, leading me to think that perhaps my standard work clothes are too, well, boring.

Speaking of fashion... I have NOT been pulling my daughter's onesies out of the dryer and stretch-stretch-stretching them out in order to continue their usefulness. By doing so, I have NOT been able to get my 12-month-old to still fit into 3-6 month onesies (even though she's in the 95th percentile for height!). I am now NOT trying to find a way to do the same to some of her favorite dresses and pants, with no luck.

I am NOT ridiculously jazzed about spending three days this week with some of my best girl friends. I have NOT been in "seclusion" for what seems like forever, and am NOT thrilled to finally be getting back out there and enjoying my social life!

I thought I posted something... but there is that mommy brain for you.

My son definitely did NOT poo in the tub the other night. And I did NOT come running to my husbands rescue when he uttered "I don't know what to do?". I am definitely not an enabler b/c I definitely wouldn't want to feel needed b/c I could stay cool under the pressure of uncontained poo.

I definitely have to say that my conversations DON'T revolve around poo these days...

I love Target, it's the best! I think your outfit sounds very cute, I'm impressed by how together it sounds! I'm lucky if I can just pull of basic black pants, a top, and black shoes. Belt? Way too detailed! That's so funny you can get G into 3-6 month onesies still! Talk about stretching it out!

I had fun with you last night! I'm glad you're coming out of seclusion!
